The school inculcates the habit of sharing “What you have with those who need it”. Goonj is one such social organization working for the cause of underprivileged children. In this regard, notices and pamphlets of appeal for voluntary donations are regularly displayed on various notice boards in the school followed by announcements. Children are encouraged and motivated to give away various household, stationary, clothing articles and medicines, toys etc. which are no longer used by them but are in good condition. This gives a helping hand to the needy children who are deprived of such basic necessities of life. Even the unused pages of the answer sheets of the students are binded into books and gives to these children studying in remote areas. DAV, Sec-37 gives an honest and excellent platform to its students to be responsible for the welfare of these socially-deprived children, thereby, making a small difference in their lives.
